Disney unveiled their first line of adaptive Halloween costumes in 2020, featuring inclusive versions of beloved characters like Cinderella, The Incredibles, and Buzz Lightyear. They have since expanded their collection to include characters themed around The Mandalorian and Marvelโs Black Panther. The costumes are both adaptive and sensory-friendly, with some options available as full-body costumes and others designed as wheelchair cover sets. Adaptive details from Disneyโs collection include self-stick fabric back closures, tube access, and longer inseams to ensure comfort for young wheelchair users.

Wheelchair costume sets from Party City are a fun way to incorporate a Halloween accessory like no other by turning your childโs chair into a swift police car or a seaworthy pirate ship! These kits include sturdy paneling that attaches to a wheelchair using hook-and-loop closures. Targetโs โHide and EEK! Boutiqueโ first introduced adaptive Halloween costumes in 2019, and the product line has continued to grow.
