Disney Introduces New Line of Adaptive Halloween Costumes

Disney Logo

A new collection of adaptive costumes from shopDisney will offer a chance for every little superhero or princess to dress up in style this Halloween.

Your trick-or-treater can feel like the belle of the ball with a wheelchair set designed to look like Cinderella’s coach, or will be ready to spring into action by turning their chair into a super car designed to look like the Incredimobile. The wheelchair sets are made from stiff felt pieces and supportive plastic piping for added stability, and come with self-stick fabric strips to help keep the pieces together.

You can also find adaptive costumes inspired by Cinderella, Buzz Lightyear, and the Incredibles 2.

Cinderella’s gown opens in the back with self-stick fabric closures and has an open skirt back to make it wheelchair-friendly. A discreet flap opening in the front center allows for easy tube access.

Meanwhile, the Buzz Lightyear and Incredibles 2 costumes are designed as a one-piece body suit with longer inseams and a rear opening for seated superheroes. They also come with a front center flap opening to allow for tube access with a self-stick fabric closure.

Disney now joins retailers such as Target and Spirit Halloween in offering a more inclusive range of accessories and apparel. You can also find a wide selection of options on Etsy, or even make your own!

Whether it’s playtime or party time, these costumes are sure to fuel your young one’s imagination this Halloween.
