My sister purchased a brand new Driverge van earlier this year. It has already had to go in several times and currently has not had a working lift for the past nearly 5 months straight with no offer of a free rental while this is under warranty. It seems that they have not only poor communication with her, the customer, but also internally with part suppliers. It seems that they may have finally ordered parts or something this week? Unsure... it may just be they finally obtained the list of part numbers? She chose them specifically because it was supposedly an inside design and thought that it would have the best service experience after having a van with a lift made in a country where another one bombed the facility and parts became unavailable. Turns out that they have nothing to do with design. They just use a system designed from another company and don't even know how to look up their own part numbers or anything. They lack basic organization and understanding. Someone having limited mobility for months depending on others to push them in a manual wheelchair they are not capable of physically pushing themselves because your brand new van just purchased under warranty has been broken due to a negligent company is ridiculous.

*edit* Their response is basically to blame another party. Another party that they chose to work with. There have been times when they have specifically stated that they were just waiting on a response to an email for literally months. They seemed to not know what parts they even needed to order while waiting for a "part list". They didn't even seem to have a clue what to do or work on a backup plan, just throw their hands in the air waiting for a reply email for months. They should have already had a part list for any system they were installing from the start and been trying to source necessary parts elsewhere. They should take some responsibility for sourcing the supplier and their failed efforts (assuming they even made any) up front to ensure they are dealing with a good company.

Honestly if this were my company, after this long of basically waiting to order parts, I would have looked at taking parts from the other vans with the system they have on the sales lot (yes there are some for sale on their site). Then at least my customer would have the mobility they paid sooooooo much money for and haven't been able to use for at least half the time they had it. I would then repair that vehicle when my terrible supplier came through and search for a new supplier. Or at least somehow penalize them? Now that they finally ordered parts after 5 months of... who knows... Let's see how long it takes to get them.

*edit edit* 3 months later... The saga continues... They finally said they fixed it but she never actually experienced it working. But it "worked for us" so, you know... Finally they decided to offer a rental but it doesn't have enough seats for her family. Its nice that they can bring his actual motorized chair places now but If they want to go somewhere together they have to take 2 cars. They haven't given a time period to fix her van. At this point all of this feels hopeless.
Response from the owner:Hi Heather, we are sorry to hear about your sister's experience with her van. We apologize for any inconvenience and frustration this has caused. It is never ideal when there is a wait for parts from another party in order to complete the service and fix. We understand the importance of having a working lift and we are working diligently to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We have communication that parts are on their way now and we believe that this has been communicated to your sister. If not or if you have any further questions, please call the store and ask for the General Manager, 248-616-3004. We truly are here to help in any way possible and in our control for our clients. Thank you for the feedback and letting us know.

I recently had a lift installed at my residence. Although there were some manufacturer-related issues and a minor incident during installation, the staff—especially Amanda and Sober—were excellent throughout the process. They maintained consistent communication and worked diligently to ensure the lift was fully operational and that I was satisfied.

Great company with great people. I truly appreciate their commitment to customer service.
Response from the owner:Hi Don, thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! We’re delighted to hear that, despite the manufacturer challenges, Amanda and Sober provided excellent support and communication throughout your lift installation.
