I broke a wheel on my portable electric wheelchair, one of the spindles. I contacted the company and they're going to replace it but I was concerned that it might break and roll over or leave me stranded someplace.
I gave mobility City a call, and Chris answered and although he wasn't terribly optimistic at possibility of having a replacement, he invited me to come by and we could take a look. So I did I rolled over there, and you know I met Chris, a professional and amiable guy, and he had a box of wheels and lucky enough, one of them fit, and he even took the time to replace it for me. I couldn't ask for a better service, and I highly recommend this place. When it's time for me to upgrade, I definitely will be coming back. Thanks again Chris!

Hidden "Exotic" Fees, Mechanical Failure, and Unprofessionalism

I brought my 2023 Toyota Supra here for adaptive hand controls and had an incredibly unprofessional experience.

1. The Quote Bait-and-Switch: Originally quoted $2,500, I was handed a $4,000 bill at pickup. This included a surprise $1,500 "Exotic Car Fee" never mentioned beforehand. The manager, Scott, claimed that because the dashboard is one piece, a Toyota Supra is an "exotic" (comparable to a McLaren/Ferrari). This was a predatory, hidden fee.

2. Emotional Manipulation: When the car was delayed, the manager tried to guilt-trip me using a technician's personal family tragedy. At pickup, he explicitly told me the technician "missed part of his grandmother's service" to finish my car, using a staff member’s grief to deflect from their own scheduling issues.

3. Mechanical Negligence & Dishonesty: I was told the car was test-driven on Friday and "good to go." Less than 3 hours after pickup, my Check Engine Light and Drivetrain errors came on. Toyota Service confirmed the installation caused the failure and warned the car was unsafe to drive. It is clear they either lied about the test drive or performed one so brief it was useless.

4. Poor Logistics: Despite Toyota’s warning, MobilityWorks refused to pay for a tow, wanting to drive my malfunctioning car 5.5 miles back to their shop. I had to pay for my own tow. My tow driver noted the staff seemed visibly unhappy when it was delivered, making the driver pull the vehicle into the shop himself.

5. Corporate & Accountability: After I reported this to corporate, Scott called me on a Saturday (clearly after being contacted by HQ). When I picked the car up the second time, Scott told me, "Next time call us first before you do anything." This felt like an attempt to keep their mistakes off the record rather than taking true accountability.

Summary: I paid significantly over the quote for a job that resulted in a drivetrain error. Between the "Exotic" surcharge and the bizarre guilt-tripping, I cannot recommend this shop.
