We are extremely disappointed with the ongoing problems with the BraunAbility ramp system in our 2021 Chevrolet Traverse. The ramp has malfunctioned repeatedly, leaving us frustrated and questioning the reliability of a system we depend on. Today, we took our vehicle in because the ramp would not automatically deploy or stow. This same issue has happened before, and the service department was unable to identify the problem. On both occasions, the ramp began working again on its own. This time, however, we were told the problem was caused by aftermarket speakers we had installed. Despite the fact that the ramp started working again and no actual cause of the malfunction was identified, the service manager insisted it was our fault and informed us that our extended warranty would not cover the diagnostic fee. We were told we would have to pay $430 in labor just to have the system looked at, even though they could not identify the problem. To make matters worse, the service manager's attitude was completely unprofessional. He practically raised his voice at us while blaming us for the issue. We expect to be treated with respect, especially when we are dealing with a recurring problem involving an expensive accessibility system. We purchased an extended warranty for peace of mind, yet we are now being told we must pay out of pocket for a problem that has not even been diagnosed. Because I have back problems, manually deploying and stowing the ramp is physically difficult. These repeated failures are not just inconvenient; they create a significant burden for us and raise serious concerns about the system's reliability. BraunAbility needs to take responsibility for addressing these recurring problems and provide a fair, lasting solution. Customers who depend on accessibility equipment deserve a reliable product, professional customer service, and a company willing to stand behind its products—not to be blamed for a problem that has not been proven to be their fault. Based on our experience, we are deeply disappointed and would caution others to carefully consider the reliability of the equipment and the support they may receive when problems arise.
Response from the owner:Hi Tasha, we’re very sorry for the repeated ramp issues and the experience you had with our service team. We understand how critical dependable accessibility equipment is, and we regret the stress and inconvenience this situation has caused. Although there were definitely some manufacturer issues that needed to be figured out and addressed, we should have handled the electrical issue better. The electric on the ramps and related equipment is sensitive but we should have done a better job with diagnosis and explanation. This is not the level of service or support we aim to provide. Thank you for sharing and we hope to have an opportunity again in the future to do better at MobilityWorks of Sacramento.

Hand control installation. Gave them the exact hand controls I wanted and the care I want to put it on. I asked for a quote over 48 hours ago and they don't want your business I guess.
Response from the owner:Hi Chris. Thank you for sharing, we understand. We sincerely apologize for the delay in returning your call and inquiry. We spoke to our store team and they have reached out to you today and left a message. We look forward to making this right and getting you the information that you need. Thank you.
