What Our Clients are Saying

Excellent
MobilityWorks
Based on 56 reviews
As a disabled individual who relies on hand controls to drive, I depend on companies specializing in adaptive vehicle modifications. When I moved to Florida, I used Ocean Mobility for my needs. However, since MobilityWorks acquired them, it appears they now dominate the market.

Recently, I wanted to transfer my hand control system, which I purchased just two years ago and has fewer than 20,000 miles of use, from my old car to my new one. I was in contact with Reggie at the Fort Lauderdale location on Powerline Road, who quoted me an excessive $1,800 for the transfer, despite my already owning the equipment. This included significant markups on parts needed for adaptation, totaling approximately $500.

Driving is not a luxury for disabled individuals—it is a necessity. This kind of pricing feels unreasonable, especially for what amounts to a relatively simple, two-hour installation job. While I understand businesses must make a profit, there should be ethical limits, especially when dealing with a vulnerable population.

Ultimately, I found another option and had the job done for less than half the price. I urge MobilityWorks to reconsider their pricing practices and show greater consideration for the disabled community, who often work hard just to overcome the many challenges life has already placed before them.

Look at their latest "deal" for a conversion mini van for disabled person: "starting price" is 85,000 dollars!!

Highway robbery!
Had them repair a remote that got wet , the crane remote and update pretty much all my equipment. They did an outstanding standing job from beginning to finish. Even picked it ip then dropped it off and did a great job on instructing me on the new equipment.I learned the hard way the quality of the initial installation by a good company is very important. It was initially installed by another company and I had nothing but problems for years. They took over reinstalling it a few years ago and haven’t had any problems since. They even overnighted a part so I wouldn’t have to wait which the last company would NECER had done . Very obvious their goal was profit not customer satisfaction with the last company. I will absolutely use them again if necessary as well as highly recommending them. Jody my service rep was great the whole time as well keeping me informed/ updated on any parts, , possible delays ( not their fault) with parts needed to be delivered .
Response from the owner:Robert, thank you for taking the time to leave us this awesome review! We appreciate you choosing MobilityWorks and are happy to be here for all your accessibility needs!
