This organization advocates, educates, investigates, and litigates to protect and advance the rights of California citizens with disabilities. Their Client Assistance Program (CAP) helps residents receive services from the Department of Rehabilitation.
The DOR’s Mobility Evaluation Program (MEP) provides driving evaluations for qualified individuals.

The California VA helps veterans and their families receive the federal and state benefits that they are entitled to. This may include assistance with handicap van and adaptive technologies access.

The VAF is a nonprofit corporation that was established January 1994 to operate transitional housing programs for military veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The VAF is comprised of veterans who are nationally recognized as experts on the issues of homelessness among veterans and are dedicated to veteran’s advocacy. The VAF currently operates three of these programs throughout the State of Wisconsin and has also branched out into the State of California. (www.cavaf.org) VAF provide supportive services and transitional housing for veterans from all over the United States.
