Making Dreams Come True

Group picture of family in front of parkGive Kids The World Village, a non-profit resort in Central Florida, has been making dreams come true for the past 30 years. The 79 acre Village near Orlando provides week-long, cost free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Here at MobilityWorks, we are proud to supply their organization with hundreds of accessible rental vans. Our relationship with Give Kids The World goes back many years.

Every family that stays also receives tickets to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando. In addition to this, all of the families get to stay in one of their 168 fully furnished themed villas. While staying at the Village, families have plenty of fun activities to choose from. These include everything from the world’s largest CandyLand board to ice cream for breakfast! After a long day at the theme parks, the nightly entertainment in the Village is a perfect way for families to end their day.

The funding for Give Kids The World Village is all provided by corporate and individual donations. Their operation also would not be possible without the 1,600 volunteer shifts that are filled each week. Many of the volunteers are locals, but they also receive help from people all over the world. Since 1986 they have served over 150,000 families from all 50 states, and this year alone they expect to have more than 8,000 visitors!
