For almost 40 years, the Abilities Expo has been dedicated to displaying the latest innovative adaptive technologies. MobilityWorks is proud to be participating in the 2018 Los Angeles Abilities Expo from Friday, February 23rd through Sunday, February 25th. The expo will feature groundbreaking accessible equipment, informative workshops, demonstrations and more.
MobilityWorks has four locations around the greater Los Angeles area in Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Van Nuys and Riverside. Certified Mobility Consultants from these locations will be at Booth #615 to meet with attendees and answer questions about accessible vehicles and adaptive equipment.
Here are a few of the 2018 Los Angeles Abilities Expo Workshops and Events:
- Meet Paralympian Samantha Bosco (Friday, February 23rd 2pm – 3pm) – Samantha is a two-time bronze medalist cyclist and will be located at the Angel City Sports booth.
- Learn How to Certify Your Therapy Dog (Friday, February 23rd 2:30pm – 3:30pm) – Learn from a certified therapy dog handler how to pass the required written and behavioral tests.
- Open Your World with Accessible Travel (Saturday, February 24th 11:45am – 12:45pm) – This workshop will feature a Q&A session and provide information and tools to help plan an accessible vacation.
- What’s New in Assistive Technology (Sunday, February 25th 11:45am – 12:45pm) – Discover some of the latest advancements in assistive technology that were just release at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year.
The expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in West Hall A located at 1201 S Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA 90015. Expo hours are from 11am to 5pm Friday and Saturday, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
