Accessibility Enhanced Winnebago Motorhomes

Winnebago Adventurer with a wheelchair lift

Winnebago Industries has worked for over 60 years to create a variety of products that help people to explore the outdoor lifestyle, from their famous RV’s to smaller travel trailers. More than three decades of that time has been spent on producing personal customizations to allow for optimized accessibility. They are continuously adding unique features and up-to-date amenities to create the best possible motorhome experience.

Through flexibility and comfort, RV travel opens up a wide world of new possibilities. No matter where you go, or for how long, you are able to sleep in your own bed, use your own roll-in bath, and cook in your own kitchen. You never have to deal with the hassle of the airport, or with worrying that your wheelchair will be damaged during a flight. Pets or service animals will feel at home traveling with you in a familiar place and will always have access to food and water. Plus, you’ll have privacy and will never have to worry that booked accommodations won’t be accessible. RVing brings people and families closer together as they share in the joy of travel and discovery.

Winnebago currently offers three different accessible models, each equipped with their own combination of accessible features. This lineup consists of:

Intent AE
The gas-powered Intent is an easy to drive mid-priced model that can fit into almost any National Park campsite.

Adventurer AE
Although the Adventurer is a gas coach, it has amenities typically reserved for diesel pushers, such as full-body paint, Corian® countertops and Primera® covered furnishings.

Forza AE
The Forza is one of the few mid-entry diesel pusher motorhomes and is perfectly suited for accessibility enhancements, offering ample space and power with its 340-hp Freightliner® chassis.

Within these RVs are a variety of customizable features which offer accessibility, including:

  • Platform wheelchair lift with 800-pound lifting capacity
  • Powered roll-up lift door
  • Wall-mount and key-fob remote controls allow wheelchair user to independently enter and exit the coach
  • Expanded hallway and toilet areas for greater accessibility
