Motorcycle Hauling Minivan Just as Big a Hit with Show Attendees
Thousands motorcycle enthusiasts visited the Cleveland IX Center this past weekend for the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show. MobilityWorks’ Akron Store featured The Mobility Conquest, their new wheelchair accessible trike designed for paraplegic bikers that want to continue riding. The Conquest was considered by many to be the most unique bike on display at the show. The consumer exhibit debut for the Conquest was met with rousing attendee interest and media attention, including coverage on CNN and the local ABC affiliate, News Channel 5.

A New Star in the Making – MobilityWorks Rear Entry Accessible Minivans Double as a Motorcycle Hauler…
The Conquest wasn’t the only rock star of the MobilityWorks Cycle World exhibit. The company also displayed a Motorcycle Haulin’ Minivan, a modified rear entry van with a lowered floor and built-in ramp capable of hauling a Harley Davidson Fat Boy or similar size bike. Attendees who came to the booth to view the motorcycle were drawn to the unusual minivan with just as much interest, or even more. Many were commenting on their bike trips down to Daytona and other destinations in some pretty bad weather conditions. The idea of having an enclosed vehicle to haul the motorcycle to more suitable climate conditions, without having to buy and hook up a trailer, was appealing to a lot of couples.
The minivan on display was a Chrysler Town & Country converted by MobilityWorks’ own Commercial Manufacturing Division. Originally designed for wheelchair accessibility. It found its dual-purpose when the company started marketing the European designed BMW wheelchair trikes.
