Braun Companionvan™ RE — Rear Entry Handicap Minivans

Currently available in Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country models, the Braun CompanionVan™ RE offers these popular minivans in a streamlined, economical package. Two flip and fold second-row seats allow seating for up to four ambulatory adults with one wheelchair securement position in the rear lowered floor area. Above is a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country Touring Edition Sports Van. CompanionVan RE wheelchair ramps are manually deployed, reducing cost of the wheelchair van conversion. The RE is also available in Dodge Grand Caravan Models. The rear seats fold down and flip out of the way for adding more room in the wheelchair area.

The following are standard features in every CompanionVan RE conversion:

• OEM Styling - Inside the vehicle, custom-molded plastic
  panels make the interior look like it came straight from the factory.
• Ramp Design - The manual bi-fold ramp with spring assistance is easy
  to fold and unfold, plus it’s made to last with powder coated aluminum.
  A conveniently-located assist handle makes it simple to operate the ramp
  with one hand.
• Rear Hatch - Customers may choose a manual or power door (depending
  on how the original vehicle is equipped). A Braun-designed two-sided lock
  ensures a tight seal.
• Braun Flip & Fold Seating - Additional ambulatory seating is a snap with
  two, second row fold-down seats that, when in use, still leave ample room
  in the rear area for a wheelchair passenger. When folded up, the seats do
  not protrude into the lowered floor area, leaving plenty of space for two
  wheelchair passengers.
• Suspension & Ride - Only minor modifications have been made to the rear
  suspension during the conversion process, resulting in a smooth ride that
  is as close to OEM as possible.
• Lowered Floor Area - With a generous size of 96” long x 30 1/2” wide, the
  lowered floor accommodates most wheelchairs.
