The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association and MobilityWorks is taking part in celebrating the upcoming National Mobility Awareness Month. It is designed to educate seniors, veterans, caregivers and people with disabilities about the many wheelchair accessible vehicles and adaptive mobility equipment options available for living an active and mobile lifestyle.

As part of the awareness campaign, NMEDA is giving away 3 wheelchair accessible vehicles - tailored to the winner's needs. The second annual giveaway will take place May 31, 2013. Voting for your favorite Local Hero ends May 10, 2013. Additional details and instructions for nominating a local hero can be found at http://www.mobilityawarenessmonth.com.
