Driving Evaluations and Driver Rehabilitation Specialists

The Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists spcr "Fortunately for many of our clients, there are dedicated physical therapists and driver-rehabilitation specialists that are trained to help people with getting back their independence."

The use of hand controls for cars and vans generally requires you to pass a special training class which educates drivers on the nuances of using the controls and determines you are physically capable of safe driving. This includes on-road testing after simulator training. To find a driver evaluator or training class near you, contact a Certified Mobility Consultant.
