West Coast Regional Service Manager

MobilityWorks is currently looking to hire a West Coast Regional Service Manager. A qualified applicant should be able to multitask, think quick on their feet, and be able to switch from one thing to another quickly. They must be able to listen and also communicate well and be able to direct employees. The individual must be able to take ownership in everything they do and provide value to the company and our clients. The person should also be able to create excitement in our stores while working with them to have an efficient shop and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write procedures & standard operating procedures for all MBW Service locations.
  • Develop specialized installation kits.
  • Develop Bom, schematics, engineering drawings, work instruction for specialized MBW customer products.
  • Train stores on software and service processes.
  • Corporate purchase of required tools and equipment for NMEDA Requirements.
  • Updating of all NMEDA changes and requirements, including ongoing training with the stores on compliance.
  • Review of all service center metrics including billable hours, efficiency report, and assist in store service manager and technician's evaluations.
  • Compile data for payroll for service bonus / incentives.
  • Monthly forecasting.
  • Develop service area and parts growth for each service center.
  • Perform Quality inspections.
  • Perform cycle counts, audit inventory, inventory review, audit vehicles. Work with stores to maintain clean parts inventories and inventory turns.
  • Service center contact visits and audits.
  • New service center shop set up, purchasing special tools, building layout.
  • Assist with any legal inspections and issues.
  • Act as Service Manager on new start ups and/or when needed.
  • Involvement to diffuse customers on repeating service warranty problems.
  • Assist in special installation and applications for first piece set up.
  • Travel to service center to review general operation.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

  • 5 + years prior experience managing the Service Department or related experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and hold certifications.
  • Automotive aftermarket, and/or mobility experience a plus.
  • Computer skills (Outlook, working knowledge of Excel, Word).
  • Proficient in oral communication.
  • Customer service.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Electrical aptitude.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Reside on the West Coast.
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Are you a proven Service Manager that can run the Service Department at one of our facilities? Responsibilities:

  • Increasing revenues by making sure that the Service Dept is run in an efficient and productive manner

  • Hiring/firing, managing, and motivating technicians

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Technician for Madison Heights, MI, Oakland, CA, Chattanooga, TN, Huntsville, AL, Plainfield, IL , Skokie, IL, Akron and Toledo, OH. The preferred candidates will be non-smokers having automotive dealership experience with ASE Certification. Familiar with wheelchair accessible van conversions such as BraunAbility and VMI – and with wheelchair / scooter lifts, including: Bruno; Freedom Science; Ricon; Braun, etc. a plus. Experience with servicing Ford and Chrysler vehicles a plus. You must have a valid Drivers License and a clean driving record. We offer a 40 hour week, with no mandatory Saturday hours. Compensation will be based on level of experience.
