Handicap & Wheelchair Van Rentals

MobilityWorks maintains a fleet of wheelchair accessible rental vans at most of its locations, many offering Weekend Special rates. Handicap van rentals can be scheduled for just a day or for weeks at a time. Our accessible rental vans are typically lowered floor minivans with automatic fold-out ramps. Some MobilityWorks locations may also have full-size Ford E-150 handicapped rental vans with wheelchair lifts, subject to availability. The Handicap Van Rental Process

• Call 1-877-275-4915 and make a reservation
• Provide a valid driver's license
• Provide proof of insurance
• Provide a credit card deposit
  - $100 deposit for less than one week
  - $200 deposit for one full week
  - $500 deposit for two weeks
• You can pick up the handicapped rental van at the MobilityWorks dealership or the vehicle can be delivered to you for an additional charge. For an additional fee, we will even pick you up at the airport if you are visiting.

During summer and holiday weeks, please call two to three weeks in advance to make a reservation for rental wheelchair vans. This helps ensure that we have a vehicle available that meets your specific requirements.

Details For Wheelchair Van Rentals

One hundred miles per day is included in the rental agreement. There is a $0.25/mile fee charged for every mile beyond 100 miles per day. Special weekend rates do apply. Call for details. Gas fill-up is required before being returned. Vehicle drop off and pickup service is available for an additional delivery fee. There are no minimum days required. All rental details will be explained thoroughly and provided to you in writing beforehand.

Pickup Friday After 2:00 PM - Drop Off Monday Before 9:00 AM

Most of our locations have Weekend Special rates of $200 or less! Reservations are required.

Our Weekend Specials include handicap van rentals after 2:00 PM on Friday and must be returned on Monday morning by 9:00 AM. Weekend Special rates include 200 free miles, with a $0.25 per mile fee charged for every mile thereafter. Gas fill-up is required before being returned. The deposit on a Weekend Special is generally $100. Rates can vary by location and are subject to change. Please call ahead and confirm the Weekend Special rate at that location while making your reservations.

In California and Michigan...

Weekend Specials are currently not available in California or at our Saginaw MI location. Ask for our Van Nuys office for daily and weekly rental rates in California. In Saginaw and other areas of central and northern Michigan, ask for our Detroit office for daily and weekly rates in Michigan.

Try Before You Buy

If you're looking to rent a wheelchair van to help decide if you want to purchase one at a later date, we have qualified mobility consultant specialists ready to assist you. Ask to speak to a Mobility Consultant before renting. In most cases, they will be able to refund a single-day or weekend special rental fee if you make a purchase within 2 weeks of your rental experience.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund of your deposit is provided if MobilityWorks is given at least one week of notification. With a minimum 3-day notice, half of the deposit is refunded. With less than a three-day notice, the entire deposit is forfeited.
